My tech journey started in high school, where Shana Sanders first introduced me to creative tools. Years later, after working in retail and craving a more purpose-driven path, I reconnected with her through WE CREATE TECH. I joined one of their virtual design sessions, and everything clicked. Since then, I’ve worked behind the scenes with the team, upskilling in areas like AI-powered content creation, digital marketing, and no-code platforms. With their support, I earned a Google Digital Marketing certificate and started charting a clear path into the tech space—while helping guide the next generation to do the same.

The AV skills I gained under her guidance, along with IT fundamentals like SQL, Unix, and JavaScript under my first career opportunity, prepared me to confidently take on new challenges in tech. Today, I manage global video conferencing systems and oversee live and virtual event production at a leading hedge fund, thanks to the solid foundation she helped me build.
