WCT was built around a simple idea: opportunity grows when people who have found a way forward help create one for somebody else.
Our students explore, build, publish, earn credentials, connect, and launch. Then the ecosystem gets stronger when professionals, alumni, college students, community members, and supporters come back for the next person.
For professionals, college students, alumni, and early-career technologists who can share career insight, advisement, encouragement, industry perspective, or professional connections through TechRise.
For people who want to work directly with WCT students or support hands-on programming like CreativX Lab and NextGen Tech Collective.

Join TechRise as an advisor, mentor, or chapter leader for high school students, college students, and career changers.
Lead or support hands-on tech exploration workshops in UX design, coding, cybersecurity, AI, robotics, and more, mostly with high school students (grades 9 to 12) and some younger students.
Connect with families around one of our partner enrollment programs and help fill open student spots.
Organize a database of our education partners and programs and get it integrated into our website.
Drive enrollment for the upcoming TechRise cohort, reaching students in 20 states and 6 countries.
Keep improving the TechRise portal, the platform our students use across 20 states and 6 countries.
Lead our social media and build out video interviews with students, advisors, and partners.
Support grant research and writing plus broader fundraising, including sponsor outreach for in-person events.
Help us stay current across our website, compliance tracking, and blog content.
Find and manage event and partnership opportunities.
Manage our LinkedIn presence and keep program data and numbers organized and up to date.
Provide general administrative support as we grow, including coordinating our growing volunteer team.

Sometimes the most valuable thing you can give an emerging technologist is context.
TechRise Advisors help members navigate the path with real-world perspective, encouragement, connections, and advisement. You're not rescuing anyone. You're a member of a community sharing what you know and the access you have.
Building opportunity takes educators, engineers, designers, recruiters, project managers, marketers, fundraisers, storytellers, operators, entrepreneurs, college students, executives, and people willing to make an introduction. If you have something useful to share, there may be a place for you here.

Every volunteer working with younger students completes a background check before working with them, through our volunteer portal.
